How can i tell if the belt on my 6 psi jr setup is slipping. I thought it was my auto tranny mis-shifting but when a friend drove my car he thought it was a belt slip. Are there any distinguishing characteristics of a belt slip?
thanks

Do you have a boost gauge??? This way you can make sure that first off, the car is making the proper pressure, and if it maintains pressure at high RPM's.
Start from a standing stop and floor it... this is the best way to see if the tranny slips from 1st to 2nd (the shift should be "hard" at WOT).
Usually slipping occurs at higher RPM's. This will be tougher to diagnose than a stick because of the auto.

Unfortunately i dont have a boost gauge. However, the slipping mostly occurs in lower RPM's. Like if im accerlerating around a turn, does this help prove its the trans?

You have checked the fluid, right? Hard Cornering could slosh alot of the fluid in the torque converter... anyway... it sounds like you are bogging? Loss of power in corners? Could be other things as well...
